How to detach toolbar from the Windows Vista taskbar
One of the feature (or bug) of the Vista you can't to detach the toolbars like in the Windows XP. But you still can to create the toolbar not only on the taskbar. Here are the steps you need to process:
- Minimize all windows to get the clear desktop
- Take the Computer icon by the left mouse button and drag it to any side of the screen as close as possible
- When you drop the Computer icon Vista will create the toolbar with the content of the Computer folder
- Right-click the empty space of toolbar select Toolbars->True Launch Bar...
- To close the Computer toolbar, right-click the empty space of toolbar remove the checkmark from the Toolbars->Computer
