This plugin allow you take control on your player (Winamp 2, Winamp 3, Appolo, QCD, foobar2000). You can Play, Stop, Pause current track (file), Change Track and select files to play using Winamp Select Files Dialog box. Also this plugin can show the track time and the song title. Time can be toggled to time remaining and time elapsed, to toggle click on time. Media Control support skins.

Media Control Plugin supports: Winamp 2.x/5.x, Apollo, QCD 3, foobar2000 (tested with v0.9.x) and MS Windows Media Player. The list of supported players can be extended. If you want support for your player please contact us.

Note: Media Control is the renamed Winanp Control plugin. We rename Winamp Control because right now this plugin supports many players not only Winamp. The skins for Media Control is compatible with Winamp Control skins.

What's new in the beta version?

• This beta version is compatible with the Windows XP/Vista 64-bit Edition
• Most players supported via the single "Universal Player". All you need is install the player support add-in and slect Universal Player in the Media Control properties. So one Media Control can control some players.
• Now you can customize the song title you see on the Media Control plugin
• Rating support for most players

Custom title format

You can change the title format In the properties. The syntax is quite easy. Here is small example:

{?tracknum}{tracknum}. {?}{trackname}{?album} - {album}{?}{?year} [{year}]{?}{?artist} - {artist}{?}

This string generate the title like this:

There are two types of tags:

1. The text tag - the song tag name in the braces: {trackname}
2. The conditional tags - the song tag name in the braces with the question mark before name: {?album} The conditionsl tag must be closed by {?} tag. The text between conditional tags will be inserted into the title if the song tag is on empty only.

Default supported tag names:

• artist
• trackname
• tracktime
• genre
• year
• tracknum

Other player will be supported some later.

The player support files is the add-ins for selected player. Select the "Universal Player" in MC properties and install the add-in for your player. If MC don't see your player even after installing right support files, check your player option. Maybe you must to enable the "TLB Remote Control" plugin.
